Rainbow Zig Zag quilt is done

The Rainbow Zig Zag quilt is done and is already given to my nephew for his birthday.

 

 

I always love how the quilts come out of the dryer, all crinkled up :-)

 

Ahoy Matey

A quilt in the making for my nephew who like pirates :-)

 

I'm handquilting as I always do. The quilt must be finished by the end of April.

Well that shouldn't be a problem!

 

Scrappy Log Cabin quilt

I had to make 3 Log Cabin blocks in modern fabrics for a swap on Swap-Bot. I so liked how they turned out, that I made 35 blocks more for a quilt for myself :-)

Update Rainbow Zig Zag quilt

the quilt is all handquilted and now I'm waiting to get the fabric in for the binding.

Rainbow Zig Zag quilt

This will be a Rainbow Zig Zag quilt for special nephew.

The pattern is by Fresh Lemons (http://www.freshlemonsquilts.com/) and the fabrics are all Kona solids.

 

This is the first of 12 blocks.

 

 

 

Playtime

I'm making a quilt just for me this year with the pattern Playtime by http://www.needlesandlemons.com/. I've signed up for a monthly 3 solids FQ club and I'm using the darkest and the lightest to make the quilt in a mellow pace!


Here is the first block, solids are Dark Violet and Orchid. The Center squares are Center City - Miami Downtown and the background fabric is Crosshatch Sketch in B&W.

Crochet - throw

I started to crochet a throw for myself.

 

These are the colors and the first 16 rows. I have to make 144 rows.

It's a 100% acrylic yarn, so it's soft and warm :-)
